The City of Ottawa’s Public Art Program recently introduced a large archway on Cambridge St North in Chinatown.
The artwork Home depicts the outline of a house with clouds gently drifting above it. This iconic shape of a house is a reflection of the surrounding neighbourhood and represents the community members calling Chinatown their home. This sculpture by South Korean artist Sujin Lim acts as a doorway to the vibrant residential area of Chinatown. The image of a house and clouds is complemented by the tree-lined street, creating a portrait of an inviting community set within nature.
